Applying Fortuna chalk paint
You must mix the paint well before applying it. After that, you can apply the paint in one or two layers.
Depending on the desired finish and level of protection, a transparent protective varnish can be applied to FORTUNA Chalk Paint, which will seal the paint and extend its life.
Tools
For best results, we recommend using a round chalk paint brush.
Consumption rate
10-12 m² /l, and may vary depending on the substrate, color, method and conditions of application. To reduce consumption, the base must be flat and primed.
Drying Time
1-2 hours at 20°C.
Allow the paint to dry completely between coats, as well as after the final coat.
Dilution
Up to 5% water if necessary. The paint is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.

Preparing the Base
Prepare the surface very well. If necessary, clean and sand.
Step 2
Priming (Recommended)
Apply 1 coat of FORTUNA Chalk Paint diluted with 20-30% water. Or a primer suitable for the base you will paint on.
Wait for it to dry well.
Step 3
Application
Apply the first layer to the prepared surface at a temperature of 5°C to 25°C. If a second coat is needed, apply after the previous one has dried or 1-2 hours at 20°C.
Step 4
Protective Varnish
If you want to seal the paint for greater protection or to give it a different effect, you can apply FORTUNA Protective Varnish in one of three varieties: Matte, Satin or Gloss.
