Techniques for working with Fortuna brocade
Consumption rate
Recommended consumption : one package of FORTUNA Brocade 50 g is enough for up to 2.2 liters of paint. The amount may vary depending on the desired intensity of the sparkling effect.
The effect of the brocade particles decreases with increasing color saturation of the paint with which it is mixed.
Immediately before use, it is added and mixed by stirring to the selected FORTUNA product.
For a more distinctive sparkling effect of brocade, it is recommended to apply it on a relief surface or in combination with sand plaster.
In combination with FORTUNA Sabbia Base
FORTUNA Sabbia Base – Sand Base is a transparent coating and the color of the base determines the color of the wall.
Step 1
Applying Base Color
On a dry, clean and previously primed surface, apply FORTUNA Zodiac with a roller. Wait for it to dry thoroughly.
Step 2
Mixing the Brocade
Mix 0.9 l of FORTUNA Sabbia Base – Sand Base with 50 g of FORTUNA Brocat, immediately before application.
Mix well.
Step 3
Application
The resulting mixture is applied with a brush after the paint has dried, as a final coating. The application is done by spreading it in one or different directions, depending on the desired structure.
In combination with FORTUNA Protective Varnish
FORTUNA Protective Varnish is a transparent coating and the color of the base determines the color of the wall.
The FORTUNA Brocade and Protective Varnish mixture can be applied for additional protection and effect on any interior or exterior plasters or paints.
Step 1
Applying Base Color
On a dry, clean and previously primed surface, apply FORTUNA Zodiac with a roller.
Wait for it to dry thoroughly.
Step 2
Mixing the Brocade
Mix 0.9 l of FORTUNA Protective Varnish with 50 g of FORTUNA Brocade, immediately before application.
Mix well.
Step 3
Application
The resulting mixture is applied with a brush after the varnish has dried, as a final coat.
In combination with FORTUNA Zodiac
FORTUNA Zodiac has a very dense color and the properties of the brocade particles are reduced.
Step 1
Mixing the Brocade
Mix 0.9 l of FORTUNA Protective Varnish with 50 g of FORTUNA Brocade, immediately before application.
Mix well.
Step 2
Application
The mixture thus obtained is applied with a brush .
Step 3
Second Layer
Apply a second coat if necessary.
