Applying Travertine
Tools
It is applied with a trowel and shaped with a trowel.
Consumption rate
2-4 m2/l, and may vary depending on the substrate, method and conditions of application. To reduce consumption, the base must be flat and primed.
Drying Time
2-4 hours at 20°C.
Always wait until the previous layer is completely dry.
Dilution
Up to 5% water if necessary. The plaster is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.
Step 1
Preparing the Base
Prepare the base very well. If necessary, clean and sand.
For friable and porous surfaces, first apply Fortuna nano impregnator – diluted in a ratio of 1:5 primer/water. It is very important for dust removal and surface hardening.
Step 2
Priming the Base

A previously prepared solid base is primed with Fortuna wall primer , another suitable primer or white latex until an even white color is achieved.
Step 3
Applying the Effect

Apply FORTUNA Travertin with a trowel in one or two layers, depending on the desired structure. The relief of the decorative effect is determined by the movements of the tool. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours
Step 4
Shaping the Effect

Using a trowel, “hole” the applied coating in places before it dries. Smooth lightly and cycle before the coating dries. Let dry for at least 24 hours.
Step 5
Shaping the Effect

Using a sponge, brush or trowel, color the dried white coating with Velluto regolare. Depending on the desired effect and craftsmanship, it is possible to achieve a variety of color and relief combinations.
